Tell us what needs to move
Passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, heavy equipment, and specialized automotive cargo coordinated through RoRo, container, multimodal, and door-to-door operations across international markets
Automotive Operations
DFS handles automotive freight end to end — from sourcing vehicles at the manufacturer to clearing them through customs and delivering to the dealer or end client. Every step of the automotive supply chain, managed under one operation.
The operation started with cars and grew through volume, reputation, and the relationships that come with moving 35,000+ vehicles across some of the most demanding trade corridors in the world. That experience now covers every vehicle type — from a single passenger car to a fleet of heavy machinery — on every lane.
01
Passenger Cars
New units from manufacturer to dealer network. Single vehicles or full vessel charters.

Full-size passenger buses and coaches moved by RoRo or flat rack container
04
Trucks & HGVs
Heavy goods vehicles, tractor units, and commercial trucks across all major trade lanes
05

Excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and heavy plant — RoRo or flat rack based on dimensions
06
Agricultural Machinery
Tractors, harvesters, and agricultural equipment shipped to markets across Africa and MENA
07
Military & Specialist
Armoured vehicles, tanks, and specialist government fleet — handled with full compliance and discretion

Spare parts, components, and accessories shipped by ocean or air — consolidated or dedicated
Shipping modes
The right mode for the vehicle
01
RoRo — Roll-on Roll-off
The most efficient method for high-volume vehicle shipments. Vehicles drive on at origin port and drive off at destination — no container required, no crane handling. Lower cost per unit at scale.
02
Container Shipping
For markets not served by RoRo, high-value vehicles requiring enclosed protection, or routes where container is more cost-effective. Proper lashing, blocking, and bracing managed in full.
03
Flat Rack & Open Top
Oversized vehicles — excavators, buses, heavy plant — shipped on flat rack or open top containers where standard container dimensions are insufficient.
04
Multimodal
Ocean to road, or rail to road — when the destination is not a port city, multimodal coordination gets the vehicle from the vessel to the delivery address.
05
Air Freight
For high-value vehicles, urgent spare parts, or markets where ocean transit is impractical — air freight arranged for the cargo type and destination.
06
Full Vessel Charter
For large-volume operations — a dedicated vessel arranged for a single client’s cargo. Managed from vessel selection to port coordination at both ends.
Full service chain
Every step of the automotive supply chain. One operation
01
Sourcing
Vehicle procurement directly from manufacturers and authorised distributors — China, Europe, Japan, Korea. Price negotiation, inspection, and export preparation handled before shipping begins.
02
Pre-Shipment Inspection
Vehicles inspected at origin before loading — condition report, VIN verification, and any pre-delivery requirements confirmed before the unit is released to the vessel.
03
Export Documentation
Certificate of origin, export licence, commercial invoice, packing list, and any manufacturer certificates required at destination — prepared and verified before departure.
04
Ocean or Air Freight
RoRo, container, flat rack, or air — the right mode selected and booked with carrier relationships that reflect the volume DFS moves. Competitive rates and confirmed space.
05
Port Handling
Loading coordination at origin port and discharge handling at destination — including port storage, compound management, and pre-delivery servicing where required.
06
Customs & Clearance
Import declaration, homologation certificates, duty calculation, and customs release at destination. In markets with complex import regimes — West Africa, MENA — local agents handle the process on the ground.
07
Homologation Support
Technical compliance documentation for markets where vehicles require local certification before they can be registered — type approval, emissions certificates, and conformity declarations
08
Cargo Insurance
Marine insurance arranged for the full declared value of the vehicles — from loading at origin to delivery at destination. Claims managed by DFS in the event of damage.
09
Last-Mile Delivery
Vehicle transported from port or compound to the dealer, client, or registration point. Transporter coordination, condition check on delivery, and proof of delivery provided.
One operation.
